DateTime Picker for Google Sheets™
Google Sheets™ gives you a calendar but no way to pick a time. DateTime Picker adds the missing time picker: choose a date, a time and a time zone together, and insert the result into the selected cells as ISO 8601 text. Free and open source.
Features
- Date and time in one dialog, for one cell or a whole selected range
- Inserts ISO 8601 text such as
2026-11-12T16:00:00.000Z, or a formatted date value if you prefer - GMT+0 by default, with every other time zone available and the live offset shown
- Optional conversion to GMT before inserting
- Insert the current date and time in one click
- Settings saved per spreadsheet
How to use
- Open a spreadsheet and select the cells you want to fill.
- Go to Extensions > DateTime Picker > Pick date and time.
- Choose the date, time and time zone, then click Insert.
Permissions
DateTime Picker asks for two permissions, and uses them only as described:
- See, edit, create and delete only the specific Google Sheets™ spreadsheet this add-on is used in (
spreadsheets.currentonly): writes the date and time you pick into the cells you selected. - Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications (
script.container.ui): shows the add-on menu and the date and time picker dialog. The dialog is built into the add-on and loads no outside content.
No Google user data is sent to any third-party AI service or used to train AI models. See the privacy policy and the Google API Services User Data Policy.
Privacy and support
DateTime Picker collects no personal data and sends nothing outside your spreadsheet. Read the privacy policy and terms of service, or get help on the support page.
